GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore is seeking a Health Unit Assistant to assist Physical Therapy under supervision, preparing patients and equipment, and supporting the therapist during treatments.

You will monitor patients, report condition changes, manage supplies, and help with room setup and administrative tasks. The role emphasizes strong communication, basic computer skills, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy or ability to learn the same.

Responsabilidades

• Assist under supervision with PT activities and ambulation.
• Prepare patients and equipment for therapy sessions.
• Take and report patient vitals during treatment.
• Assist with room/setup, inventory, and equipment cleaning.
• Provide administrative support such as notifying units of treatment times and handling calls.
