Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the physical therapy team across clinical sites, including Owings Mills and Timonium, MD. You will assist in tests, treatments, and patient education under supervision, ensuring progress toward goals.

The role requires an AA degree in PT Assistant and Maryland PTA licensure with CPR certification. GBMC emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and ongoing improvement in a suburban setting.

Qualifications

• AA degree from an accredited PT Assistant program.
• Current Maryland PTA license or equivalent licensure.
• CPR certification (Healthcare Provider).

Responsibilities

• Provide testing information for PT in ROM, sensation, limb girth/length.
• Establish and document treatment program and progress with PT.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and progress plan; teach patients/caregivers.
• Coordinate with rehab techs/volunteers for non-clinical tasks.
• Inform PT and Interdisciplinary Team of patient status and progress.
• Document communications with PT regarding changes in status or plan.
• Communicate with Coordinator regularly.
• Identify equipment and supply needs and report to Coordinator.
• Participate in performance improvement; collect data.
• Document treatment plans and progress for statistics, billing, etc.
