Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks an aide to assist physical therapy under direct supervision. You will prepare patients, assist with treatments, monitor patient status, and report changes to a therapist while ordering department supplies and maintaining inventory.

The role requires HS diploma or GED and preferred healthcare experience. BLS CPR certification is required, with opportunities to train in EMR and contribute to patient safety and efficient therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED.
• 3 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard patient care policies/procedures.
• Willingness to train in EMR within access granted.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision with preparing patients and equipment for therapy; observe and report status changes.
• Assist with room and equipment setup; transport patients to treatment areas.
• Take patient vitals and provide administrative support (faxing, LMS audits, etc.).
• Maintain departmental inventories and supplies; ensure infection control standards.
