Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Portage, IN is seeking a Rehab Aide for a part-time, weekday schedule to support outpatient physical therapy. You will assist therapists, help organize records, and contribute to efficient center operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus certifications (CPR, First aid) and ideally prior outpatient PT experience; pursuing a pre-health bachelor's degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a pre-health profession is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• First aid certification is preferred.
• Prior outpatient physical therapy center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aide therapists in carrying out rehabilitation procedures, organize/schedule and keep records of ancillary services and support other center-specific functions.
• Observe and report any abnormal patient conditions, reactions or responses to treatment.
• Play a significant role in specific area of center operations (scheduling ancillary services and following up, overseeing a specific program, serving as OSHA coordinator, etc.).
• Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment.

Type of Employment: Part Time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $12.50 - $13.00/based on experience
