Job summary

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is seeking a Regulatory Specialist III to perform complex licensing activities, determine eligibility for examinations, certification, licensure or registration, and handle renewals for multiple professions. You will review applications, respond to complex issues, and support board and committee processes in a client‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Florida statutes, board and department rules.
• Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
• Plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic internet research and navigation.
• Familiarity with licensing and document imaging systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Independently reviews applications to determine eligibility for licensure or registration.
• Responds to complex problems escalated from the CCC and provides guidance.
• Performs quality checks and prepares lists for board/committee meetings.
• Assists with training materials and training employees.
• Participates in meetings and tests new application software.
