Job summary

Western Alliance Bank in CityScape seeks a Financial Control Program Manager to lead planning, execution and delivery of regulatory reporting QA testing within the RRO framework.

You will assess risks, conduct conformance and control testing, supervise staff, and prepare detailed reports for governance committees, partnering with Accounting, Risk, Treasury and Data Management to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in Internal Controls, Public Accounting, Internal Audit, or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of internal control analysis, risk assessment methodologies, SOX/FRB and COSO.
• Advanced knowledge of general banking operations and regulatory obligations.
• Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency; leadership experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver RRO test work within compliance frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments and perform conformance, transaction, and control testing.
• Supervise senior and staff-level employees and review work.
• Analyze discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports on RRO results to management and governance.
• Partner with Accounting, Risk, Treasury, Operations and Data Management teams.
• Lead or participate in regulatory reporting related projects.
