Job summary

Airwallex is hiring a Manager of Regulatory Operations for the US to build and operate controls across US‑licensed entities and products. You will work with Regulatory Compliance, Regulatory Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, and external partners to ensure regulator‑ready controls and documentation.

The role emphasizes hands‑on design and implementation, turning complex regulatory rules into practical workflows and evidence packages.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in regulatory operations, regulatory compliance, internal audit, risk management, or related field within fast‑growing tech or fintech.
• Experience translating legal, regulatory, or partner requirements into operational controls, procedures, and testing activities.
• Direct involvement in regulatory exams, audits, inspections, RFIs, or partner due‑diligence reviews with ownership for planning and remediation.
• Strong project management skills with cross‑functional delivery across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills to turn complex regulatory concepts into clear control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify, interpret, and operationalize regulatory obligations across US jurisdictions, products, and licensed entities.
• Design and implement key regulatory and partner controls with cross‑functional teams.
• Create regulator‑ and partner‑ready documentation: mappings, descriptions, RACIs, testing, evidence, remediation.
• Engage regulators, auditors, and financial partners to explain control architecture and operation.
• Support regulatory exams, audits, inspections, RFIs in the US with coordinated evidence packages.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting governance: define what to report, by whom, when, and from which systems.
• Identify gaps in obligations, controls, and evidence and drive remediation plans.
• Help establish scalable obligations‑management practices across Airwallex’s US business.
