Job summary

City National Bank of Florida seeks a Regulatory Operations Consultant to support first-line risk management by conducting onsite control assessments and transaction QA reviews across banking centers and frontline units. You will document results, monitor actions, and coach staff to strengthen controls and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–7 years in retail banking with strong knowledge of bank operations and excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Retail Banking.
• Working knowledge of bank operations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, coaching, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to solve issues and improve.
• Excellent follow-up skills with a customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct unannounced onsite banking-center assessments and monthly transaction quality assurance reviews.
• Evaluate controls, review documentation, and assess staff knowledge of policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and document control deficiencies, deviations, losses, and emerging risk trends with root causes and corrective actions.
• Analyze findings and gaps; recommend improvements to controls, procedures, training, and reporting.
• Monitor remediation actions and escalate overdue items to leadership.
• Maintain complete assessment and testing documentation, including evidence and conclusions.
• Communicate results to personnel and provide risk-based coaching or guidance when gaps are identified.
• Prepare timely management reporting on assessments, losses, findings, and corrective actions.
• Provide information for risk and compliance forums and enterprise risk reporting.
• Serve as liaison among frontline units and risk/compliance teams to facilitate reporting and improvements.
• Provide operational support and coaching on policies and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a risk-aware culture through proactive identification and remediation of risks.
• Participate in special projects and control enhancements.
