Job summary

Cooley LLP seeks an Associate Director of Marketing to lead marketing and client development for the Litigation practice group. The role focuses on brand-building, campaign execution, and revenue growth through thought leadership and strategic programs.

The position reports to the Director of Marketing – Litigation, collaborating across the marketing team and practice groups, while guiding budget, staff, and events. Hybrid work is supported with normal in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct marketing experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring staff in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for assigned practice groups and industries.
• Lead thought leadership, client development programs, and branding initiatives to drive revenue.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources to maximize brand visibility and client opportunities.
• Oversee marketing staff, projects, events, and responses to RFPs/RFIs with the Pitch & Proposal team.
• Collaborate across departments to implement service excellence standards in client delivery.
• Support lateral partner onboarding and integration into the firm.
