Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a senior marketing leader to act as a strategic consultant for practice groups and the Marketing & Client Development organization. You will translate business objectives into marketing and client development plans, oversee budgets, and lead high-stakes pitches with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8+ years in marketing with 4+ years of management experience, strong communication skills, and a background in professional services or B2B marketing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in marketing or business development with 4+ years of management experience.
• Experience in professional services or B2B marketing.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Prior legal industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate the practice marketing plans into briefs for Campaign Strategy.
• Consult on buyer profiles and influencers for segments.
• Direct the strategy for practice-building initiatives and create BU materials.
• Partner with MCD to align BU priorities with enterprise roadmaps and channel strategies.
• Define triggers and content for practice-level personalization.
• Oversee BU marketing budget and ROI on sponsorships and spend.
• Lead strategy and narrative for complex pitches with Client Development and Pursuits teams.
• Collaborate with Insights & Optimization to interpret dashboards and suggest shifts.
• Supervise direct reports and manage staffing, time logs, and development.
