Job summary

Hankey Group External in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Regulatory Compliance Exam Specialist to serve as the primary liaison with state and federal regulators during examinations. The role focuses on gathering information, coordinating examinations with agencies such as CFPB, DOJ, FTC, and SEC, and driving timely responses and corrective actions.

You will develop root-cause analyses, propose corrective actions, and work with the CCO and Regulatory Compliance Counsel to validate findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required in a business-related discipline.
• Experience or familiarity with multi-state auto finance regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with regulators and upper management.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Understanding of learning and development principles.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with meticulous compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Help provide responses to state and federal requests for information.
• Coordinate state and federal regulatory examinations with agencies such as CFPB, DOJ, FTC, SEC, NY DFS, DBO, TX OCCC and others.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve citations from examinations.
• Schedule follow-up internal audits to monitor corrective actions.
• Provide written responses to exception reports and audit results to regulators.
• Prepare internal reports on incidents of non-compliance with legal requirements.
• Develop and present Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans to the compliance board.
• Work with the Chief Compliance Officer and Regulatory Compliance Counsel to validate findings before remediation.
• Collaborate with business units to design, document, and maintain monitoring policies for compliance.
