Job summary

Hankey Group External in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to act as primary contact for state and federal examinations. You will develop corrective actions to address deficiencies and ensure timely responses to regulators.

You will coordinate examinations with agencies like CFPB, DOJ, FTC, SEC, NY DFS, and others, and prepare internal and external reports detailing compliance and remediation progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business related discipline.
• Preferred to have at least three years previous experience in the auto finance industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide responses to state and federal requests for information.
• Coordinate state and federal regulatory examinations with agencies such as the CFPB, DOJ, FTC, SEC, NY DFS, DBO, TX OCCC and others.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve deficiencies cited in examinations.
• Schedule follow-up internal audits to monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Provide written responses to exception reports and audit results to regulators.
• Prepare internal reports on non-compliance incidents and summaries.
• Develop Root Cause Analysis with Corrective Action Plans for the compliance board.
• Collaborate with CCO and Regulatory Compliance Counsel to validate cited exceptions before remediation.
• Work with business units to design and maintain monitoring policies for regulatory compliance.
