Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Division of Motorist Services, is seeking a Regulatory Consultant (MS Compliance Officer I) to process IRP/IFTA applications and provide high-quality customer service. The role involves reviewing documents, issuing credentials, handling payments, and addressing inquiries from carriers and tax collectors via phone, email, and in-person contact.

Typical duties include verifying completeness, ensuring compliance with state motor vehicle

Qualifications

• Ability to review materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal and state motor vehicle registration laws and IRP/IFTA procedures.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations correctly and manage customer conflicts constructively.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to create clear written correspondence.
• Knowledge of confidential information handling and customer service skills including cultural sensitivity and professional communication.
• Ability to work standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Processing applications and providing customer service for IRP/IFTA services.
