Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks an Inspector Specialist (MS Compliance Officer III) to oversee rider training programs and compliance with related laws and regulations. The role involves coordinating with RiderCoaches, instructors, examiners, and third-party administrators, with emphasis on audits, training, and guidance.

Responsibilities include researching and monitoring FRTP, DELAP, and TPA regulations, and ensuring compliance across divisions.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license in good standing with no cancellations, suspensions, or revocations for at least 3 years prior to and during employment.
• Must obtain motorcycle endorsement and Rider Coach Certification within one year of employment.
• Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments; able to operate various vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with researching, developing, and monitoring laws, rules and regulations related to rider training and DELAP programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, developing, implementing and monitoring all FRTP, DELAP, and TPA laws and regulations.
• Provide regulatory oversight between the Department, TPAA’s, motorcycle safety schools and DELAP program operators.
• Conduct training, audits, site visits, and offer guidance on laws and procedures.
