Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is seeking a student intern to support environmental and natural gas regulatory compliance work. The role involves researching environmental issues, drafting concise summaries, and assisting with procedures, training materials, and data analysis.
Occasional field visits and administrative tasks are included. The position requires full-time student status, a GPA of 2.5+, and availability of at least 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard daytime

This position is intended to support the environmental and natural gas regulatory compliance work groups. Duties may include, but will not be limited to: conducting research and drafting concise summaries on environmental issues, regulations, and technologies; assisting with the development of procedures, spreadsheets, job aids, and training materials; assisting with or conducting field assignments, site visits, facility audits, and inspections; assisting with the development of event materials; and conducting administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and data analysis. Other projects, tasks, and duties will be assigned as needed.
Works primarily in an office setting, but regular field visits and activities required. Requires bending, stooping, some lifting, working in awkward and strenuous positions at times, and mobility over rough terrain.
