Paralegal III to assist the Legal Affairs Department in scheduling, completing, and maintaining regulatory filings required by state and federal agencies in accordance with statutory and contractual requirements. Assist compliance officials with filings related to healthcare statutory or programmatic requirements.

Pay: $34.00 hourly
Essential Functions:
- Draft and prepare regulatory filings and documents required by state and federal agencies.
- Assist in responding to state audits and examinations.
- Draft and maintain corporate documents including company formation documents, dissolutions, conversions, board and shareholder consents, resolutions, meeting minutes, foreign qualifications, fictitious business name filings, intercompany agreements, affidavits, license renewals, and annual reports.
- Assist the Deputy General Counsel with holding company filings.
- Research statutes and regulations across jurisdictions, focusing on health maintenance organizations, corporations, LLCs, and holding companies.
- Maintain tracking charts for subsidiaries, officers, directors, intercompany agreements, and licenses.
- Support health plans, health plan attorneys, and staff.
- Assist the proposal and mergers & acquisitions teams as needed.
- Support intellectual property maintenance and coordinate with trademark counsel and Marketing.
- Organize and maintain legal documents and correspondence electronically.
- Research legal records as needed.
- Establish good rapport with regulators and maintain professionalism.
- Provide general legal support and coordinate notarizations and regulatory activities.
Must Have Skills:
- 5-7 years of paralegal experience, preferably with at least 3 years in managed healthcare, understanding Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems (e.g., iManage), Westlaw, Edge, Chrome, SharePoint.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle large workloads.
- Clear, concise writing and healthcare law interest.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and research skills.
- Knowledge of NAIC regulations, state insurance departments’ websites, and filing portals.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
