The Mass Tort Paralegal will assist attorneys with fact investigation, legal research, document preparation, database management, docketing, case management, and client service. The role focuses on California asbestos practice, with functions including discovery, deposition prep, investigation, trial and mediation prep, factual analysis, pleadings, motions, briefs, document databases, scheduling, and trial participation.

Essential job functions include:

  • Maintaining professionalism and adhering to firm policies.
  • Attention to detail and work quality.
  • Developing proficiency in databases, research, and file management.
  • Organizing and managing files independently or delegating tasks.
  • Participating in in-house CLEs.
  • Mentoring Paralegal Assistants.
  • Anticipating attorney needs.
  • Handling key duties independently.
  • Meeting a billable hour requirement of 1500 hours annually.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary varies based on skills, experience, and location, with ranges provided for different states. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, holidays, and more. Bonus opportunities are available but non-guaranteed.
