Job Title: Paralegal
Pay: $28- 48/hr
Type of Position: FULL TIME
Hours: M-F 9-5pm; flexible
Location: Remote
Job Description:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Generate daily/weekly reports in preparation for weekly team meetings
  • Review, analyze and evaluate cases with approaching statutes of limitation
  • Conduct investigations and documentary research
  • Research into party identity, location and assets
  • Ensure compliance of legal and company guidelines and procedures
  • Manage and maintain case management database---including updates and report generation
  • Prepare informative reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing case information
  • Document case highlights and concerns, define litigation case objectives, and formulate case plans in accordance with company strategies.
  • Conduct investigations and documentary research
  • Research into party identity, location and assets
  • Calendar and manage important deadlines, including but not limited to, statutes of limitation, court hearings, deadlines and due dates
  • Draft and file legal documents with the court, including, but not limited to summons, complaints, proofs of service, and other various judicial council forms for attorney’s review
  • Track service of process for active lawsuits
  • Collaborate and correspond with various departments
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of civil litigation experience
  • Very well organized
  • Good follow-up
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Education and/or Experience:
Paralegal Certificate from ABA approved program required
Computer Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
  • Prior experience with Google Suite and ACT! is a plus
