Job summary

Golden Valley Electric Association in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the regulatory compliance program. You will oversee audits, filings, risk assessments, and document retention while ensuring adherence to Railbelt Reliability Council and Regulatory Commission of Alaska requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Power Systems, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Seven years of electric utility experience involving generation, transmission, or distribution.
• Three years of supervisory and/or program management experience.
• Ability to interpret regulations and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance program.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, audits, filings, document retention, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, legal, IT, cybersecurity, and other departments to maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance requirements are understood and embedded into daily work.
• Monitor changing regulations, identify potential compliance gaps, support regulatory filings, manage compliance-related budgets and consultants, and provide guidance to management and the Board.
