Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) is hiring an Inspector to support a balanced, compliant work environment. You will perform routine inspections of offices, facilities, and licensees and prepare clear reports for corrective actions.

Requirements include a high school diploma (bachelor's degree may substitute) and related experience. Strong communication and ability to work with officials and the public are essential; valid driving license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree may substitute.
• Experience in regulatory inspections or compliance preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work with officials and public.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and opening inspections of offices, facilities, and licensees.
• Answer questions from licensees about inspection processes.
• Prepare inspection reports and explain corrective actions.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions.
• Prepare and present documentation to the IRC for non-compliance cases.
• Collaborate with ODC and testify at hearings as needed.
• Ensure data and reports are uploaded into the Agency's system.
