Job summary

State of South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) is seeking an Inspector to conduct routine and opening inspections of licensees, explain inspection results, and prepare detailed reports. The role requires handling follow-up inspections, collaborating with the ODC, and presenting documentation to the IRC as needed.

The candidate should have a high school diploma with related work experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and opening inspections of offices, facilities, and locations of licensees to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations.
Answer questions licensees have about the inspection process.
Prepare inspection reports and explain the basis for corrective actions.
Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions were taken.
Prepare and present documentation to the IRC for non-compliance situations.
Work with the ODC and testify at hearings as needed.
Ensure information, documents and reports are uploaded into the Agency’s system.
