Job description

As a Regulatory Affairs Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain records of global product compliance and associated technical requirements.
  • Track changes to regulatory requirements and determine impacts to SEL.
  • Evaluate and research homologation requirements for markets and technologies.
  • Sustain existing product homologation and certifications.
  • Provide technical assistance as a content expert in worldwide product compliance.
  • Guide engineering staff in translating product compliance requirements into a product’s design.
  • Support Customer Service as it relates to product compliance.
  • Teach and advise management on product compliance issues.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years working knowledge in product compliance and homologation practices for industrial, medical, or commercial products
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following product homologation requirements: EMC (FCC, IC, CE, EAC, RCM) Safety standards (NRTL, CSA, NOM, EAC, RCM, CE) Product Ecology (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Packaging) Wireless (Wi-Fi, Cellular, 900 MHz, GNSS)
  • Self-motivated/self-starter
  • Strong writing, documentation, and public speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of common compliance related test equipment, test chambers, and testing practices
  • Proven ability to bring products to world markets and maintain compliance within the market.

Pay Range Data

We anticipate filling this position as a Compliance Engineer $97,740 - $144,460 per year.

We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
