Amazon's Worldwide Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team drives regulated waste compliance across California sites. The Risk Specialist I executes compliance programs, maintains hazardous waste records, conducts site inspections, and partners with operations to meet milestones.

Travel up to 50% is required. The role requires a Bachelor's in EHS or related field, 2+ years in environmental compliance or waste management, and knowledge of RCRA/DOT rules.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.
• 2+ years in environmental compliance or regulated waste management.
• Experience interpreting environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, state rules).
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to identify gaps and drive actions.

Responsabilidades

• Own the execution and delivery of regulated waste compliance projects across sites, including SOPs, workflows, and inspection routines.
• Perform waste compliance audits and site inspections to monitor thresholds and drive corrective action.
• Collaborate with site teams to understand needs and drive consensus on waste compliance.
• Identify process improvements to reduce risk and improve conformance.
• Prepare clear documentation and project communications for stakeholders.
• Travel expected up to 50% of the time.
