Job summary

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Supervisor for Admitting & Registration. This full-time night-shift role leads the Registration Department, oversees outpatient scheduling, and serves as the primary contact for physicians and hospital departments in Knoxville, TN.

The position emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and ensuring data accuracy while maintaining high customer service standards aligned with Covenant Health’s mission.

Qualifications

• Two to three (2-3) years experience in Registration and/or Financial Services area.
• Knowledge of third party payors and insurance verification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or proven skills and experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily leadership to the Registration Department and oversees outpatient scheduling for Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room registrations.
• Resolves complex registration or outpatient scheduling issues that staff cannot resolve.
• Acts as primary registration and outpatient scheduling contact for physicians, nursing managers, and other hospital departments.
• Monitors work productivity to ensure accuracy and timely processing; prepares staff performance evaluations and coaching as approved by the Director.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, state and federal regulations and HCFA guidelines.
