Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Registration Specialist to manage check-in, preregistration, and admissions with emphasis on accuracy and compliance. You will verify demographics, insurance, and consent forms, and ensure timely data entry into the patient record.

The role involves coordinating with scheduling and billing teams to optimize reimbursement, while upholding CMS, EMTALA and Joint Commission standards. Remote work is possible after six months of onsite training.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in healthcare scheduling/registration preferred.
• Proficient computer and software use.
• Professional and courteous communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain photo ID, insurance cards, signed forms and orders and scan into the medical record at check-in.
• Answer phones, fax, scan documents and support registration workflow.
• Cross-train with scheduling, authorization & referrals to assist as needed.
• Maintain timely patient flow and maximize reimbursement through accurate data.
