Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Registration Specialist to support patient flow, accurate data capture, and front-line customer service in a fast-paced medical office. You will obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance and financial information, schedule appointments (including MRI), and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth visits and optimal reimbursement.

Onsite role with standard business hours, Monday through Friday, focusing on accuracy, professionalism, and compassionate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in healthcare preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Position Summary

The Registration Specialist facilitates efficient patient flow from point of entry through completion of services in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This role is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic, insurance, and financial information to ensure accurate records, optimal reimbursement, and positive clinical outcomes. The position also supports scheduling, patient communication, and front‑line customer service operations.
