Job summary

Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota, an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Registration Representative for the 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM shift.

You will interface with patients, families, physicians and staff, admit patients, process paperwork, update demographics in the system, and document payments in the billing system. This ambulatory surgery center supports orthopedics, spine, pain and podiatry services and values accurate, courteous service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The Registration Coordinator interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Admit patients and process their paperwork.
• Update patient demographics/information in system.
• Collect monies due and document in billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedure.
