Job summary

Strong typing and medical terminology skills are required, with possible cross-training opportunities. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic hospital clerical experience, good communication, and proficiency with office

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The Registration Coordinator interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Admit patients and process their paperwork.
• Update patient demographics/information in system.
• Collect monies due and document in billing system.
• Handle funds per office procedure.
• You have the opportunity to meet new people and build professional relationships with physician offices.
• Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.
