Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Patient Access Supervisor to lead PreAccess activities in a fast-paced healthcare environment in Springfield, MA. You will coordinate registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while coaching staff, monitoring metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance across revenue cycle processes.

The role requires collaboration with Baystate Health and leadership to resolve escalated issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
  • 3+ years Patient Access experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 1–2 years progressive leadership in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, insurance requirements, and patient access workflows.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and patient access systems.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate PreAccess activities including registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance.
  • Coordinate daily operational responsibilities with the PreAccess team.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and revenue cycle best practices.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and reduce denials.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
  • Collaborate with Patient Access Managers, Baystate Health, and Huron leadership to resolve escalated operational and patient-related issues.
  • Support staffing plans, shift coverage, and resource allocation for second shift.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide HR-related support including employee relations and engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Collaborate with Patient Access Managers, Baystate Health, and Huron leadership to resolve escalated operational and patient-related issues.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to initiatives aligned with Huron and Baystate Health objectives.
  • Provide support for Human Resource‑related processes, including employee relations, performance management, and engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
