Job summary

MCI USA, a leader in convention and event management, seeks a Registration Account Executive to direct conference registration and act as primary client contact, guiding timelines from advance to post-event.

You will collaborate with Sales and support teams, set up accurate registration delivery, train call center staff, and deliver weekly progress reports and post-show SWOT analyses.

This role requires at least 2 years Cvent experience, travel up to 30%, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

  • Degree preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of Cvent registration experience.
  • Available for moderate travel (25%-30%).
  • Lifting, carrying up to 50lbs.
  • Standing for extended hours during events.

Responsibilities

  • Establish processes with clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure accurate setup for registration delivery.
  • QC client deliverables and websites for functionality and data.
  • Train call center management and agents on event functionality.
  • Lead onboarding, weekly client, pre-onsite and post-event meetings.
  • Prepare weekly checkpoints with progress numbers and actions.
  • Create post-show reports with SWOT analyses and recommendations.
  • Monitor registration pace and year-over-year trends.
  • Develop a full project plan covering onboarding, websites, data, and marketing.
  • Set event goals and monitor for achievement.
  • Coordinate event priorities across internal support teams.
  • Exercise independent decision authority for issue resolution.
  • Manage relationships with client, IT, call center, marketing, accounting, and sales.

Job description

The position serves as a member of the Registration Operations Team within the Convention Division. The Registration Account Executive is responsible for the direction and implementation of conference registration and is the main contact between the client and MCI internal support departments. The MCI Registration Account Executive establishes, implements, and monitors timelines as well as communicates client requirements while providing operations support to the Sales Team and support departments. The Registration Account Executive is positioned to provide leadership and drive priorities for the registration process from advance to post event.

COMPENSATION

$60,000-65,000 annually, based on relevant experience and skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works with the client to establish business processes for events and communicates those to the internal support departments
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate setup for registration delivery
  • Responsible for QC of all client deliverables and client websites – Includes QC of intended business functionality and data
  • Prepares and trains the call center management and agents on event functionality and i Works with the client to establish business processes for events and communicates those to the internal support departments

  • Prepares weekly checkpoints containing progress numbers and suggested action for clients
  • Prepares Post Show Report after the completion of the event containing a full overview of the event with a completed SWOT analysis with recommendations
  • Create and monitor registration pace reporting with year-over-year information to identify trends and react accordingly to those trends
  • Prepare a full project plan containing information for all aspects of the event and delivery. This project plan would contain information on client onboarding and discovery, website builds and launch, data and application integrations, marketing plans, onsite planning, requirements, etc.
  • Establish event goals based on client needs and monitors in order for them to be met/exceeded
  • Coordinates event priorities for the internal support teams
  • Coordinates and leads the event onboarding meeting, weekly client meetings, pre-onsite meetings and post event meeting.
  • Exercise independent decision authority for problem resolution
  • Relationship Management to include: Client, IT, Call Center, Marketing, Accounting, Team Members, Executive Team, and Sales
  • All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
