Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Registrar Service Specialist to support students, faculty and staff by maintaining academic records and enforcing college policies. You will verify enrollment, assist with readmissions, and advise students on progression and schedule changes while upholding privacy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience in college or academic setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague, Canvas, Unitime, Verified Credentials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality student service and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of student records.
• Verify enrollment/admission requirements including background checks and test thresholds.
• Assist readmission processing and communicate status changes to students.
• Support campus teams and advise students on attendance, performance and progression.
• Assist with initial intake, transfer credits, prerequisites, waitlists, and add/drop advising.
• Help coordinate with Academic Leadership and Student Success to provide resources to students.
• Ensure policy compliance with Student Catalog and College procedures.
• Track and report on student interactions and placement; participate in campus events.
