Job summary

North Shore Community College in Danvers, MA seeks a Transcript Evaluation & Operations Specialist (Assistant Registrar) to oversee transcript evaluation, enrollment verifications and related registrar duties. You’ll ensure accurate transfer credits and communicate decisions to students with FERPA compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field with 1 year experience and/or training in college registration or related admin work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work some evening and Saturday hours as needed.
• Ability to commute to NSCC campuses.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary responder for Registrar inquiries and oversee services.
• Develop and maintain communication templates and SOPs.
• Process Registrar forms with accuracy.
• Provide FERPA guidance and ensure compliance.
• Process enrollment verifications and transcripts; issue diplomas.
• Record evaluation decisions in NSCC systems and communicate to students.
• Enter transfer credit data into SIS and document with Banner/Navigate.
• Coordinate with Deans and Directors on evaluation decisions.
• Assist with catalog updates and NECCUM processing.
• Participate in committees and commencement activities.
