Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks a Registrar to gather and enter patient demographic information into the hospital information system, verify benefits, obtain required authorization, and collect co-pays, deductibles, and deposits. The role acts as the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service and accurate registrations.
Responsibilities include obtaining insurance cards, signatures, and processing paperwork, while coordinating with patient accounting and insurance
Every Mon and every Fri 7a-11a, every other weekend 7a-3p
Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
Obtains co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposit amounts.
Performs accurate and thorough registrations.
Is compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service.
1 year customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service) preferred. Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, have both strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.
High School diploma.
One year of Epic system experience highly preferred.
$18.69 - $26.01 Hourly
