Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's SAGE Concord in Concord, CA is seeking an Registered Veterinary Technician for Emergency. You'll provide advanced nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, work with specialists, and perform anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and treatments during swing shifts.

This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay up to $40 with a $5.50 shift differential (6 PM–6 AM), 3:00 PM–1:00 AM schedule, four 10-hour shifts, and opportunities for mentorship and CE.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
• Two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, CPR, drug calculations, critical patient care, and patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.
• Serve as the primary nurse for emergency surgical procedures during swing shifts.
• Triage emergency patients and support clients throughout their hospital experience.
• Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with advanced diagnostic imaging.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
• Minimum of two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, CPR, drug calculations, critical patient care, and patient handling.
• Excellent communication, client service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
