As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed, ensuring excellent patient service and efficient workflow. This full-time position is Monday - Friday and offers flexibility to work at our clinics in Naperville, Plainfield, Orland Park, and Frankfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
- Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, tailored to their needs.
- Prepare and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
- Conduct additional ultrasound exams as required by the physician's treatment plan.
- Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound to maintain patient flow.
- Coordinate with staff and physicians to review schedules, ensuring availability and safety.
- Maintain and improve skills through continued education and professional interaction.
- Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
- Registration as a Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), required within 90 days of hire.
- Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
