Job description

As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed, ensuring a balance between patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow. You will also ensure that patients have an excellent service experience.

This position works on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Gurnee clinic, Thursday at Mundelein, and Tuesday at Elk Grove clinics.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create a Venous Flow Map for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients.
3. Set up and clean procedure and ultrasound rooms before and after patients.
4. Perform additional ultrasound exams as required to ensure treatment effectiveness and patient safety.
5. Adhere to scheduled time allotments to maintain patient flow.
6. Coordinate with office staff and physicians to ensure ultrasound technician availability and maintain efficient patient care.
7. Maintain high standards of work through continued education and collaboration with other technologists.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventory for operational effectiveness.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
2. Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
3. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a team.
