MedQuest Imaging in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to support outpatient MRI workflows. You will assist technologists, prep patients, manage IVs, and help with room turnover in a patient-focused imaging center.

This PRN role typically covers weekends and occasional weekdays, with no overnight shifts. Salary is commensurate with experience and certification, with benefits offered as part of the broader rewards package.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification, CMA/NHA, RMA, or ARRT (R/MR/CT/M) certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Mansioni

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist patients with electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from patients.
• Escort patients to changing rooms and exam areas.
• Escort patients to and from MRI/Exam room.
• Assist Technologist with MRI prep (coil selection, linen).
• Start and remove IVs as needed.
• Maintain linen inventory.
• Coordinate and obtain reports/images for Radiologist.
• Serve as liaison between Technologist and Radiologist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Facility: Carolina Imaging | Location: Fayetteville, NC | STATUS: PRN (Weekends and occasionally weekdays)

What You’ll Do

Duties

The Registered Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs. Duties include the following:

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Maintain linen inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience

Saturday and Sunday with occasional weekday shifts
