MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, seeks a Registered Technical Assistant for its Mobile MRI Team. This role blends patient care, exam prep, and travel across multiple facilities, with 10- and 12-hour shifts and mileage/travel support where applicable.

As part of the imaging team, you’ll assist Technologists, perform IV starts, venipuncture and patient prep, and help ensure exams run smoothly in a dynamic mobile setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy/CMA/RMA or ARRT registration required.
• Experience with IV starts and patient prep for imaging.

Mansioni

• Screen and prep patients for exams in a mobile MRI setting.
• Assist Technologists during MRI preparation and positioning.
• Perform venipuncture and start IVs as needed.
• Escort patients to changing rooms and exam areas.
• Help manage electronic paperwork and patient history.

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands-on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

What You'll Do

The Registered Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs. Duties include the following:

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
