Job summary

MedQuest Imaging, a partner of Novant Health, seeks a Registered Technical Assistant to join our mobile MRI team serving multiple facilities around Kernersville, NC. This role supports patient care, venipuncture, and MRI operations across a rotating schedule.

As part of the mobile team, you will travel between sites, assist the Technologist, prep patients, and start/remove IVs. The position is part-time with Mondays at Village Point and Kernersville, offering a dynamic, patient-focused

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or medical assistant certification through AAMA/NHA or ARMA is required.
• ARRT registration in R, MR, CT, or M is required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and prepare patients for MRI exams.
• Assist technologists during MRI procedures and manage IVs.
• Perform venipuncture and start IVs as needed.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure proper attire.
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain efficient imaging center operations.

Education

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or NHA)

AMT or ARMA CMA/RMA certification

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands-on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

What You'll Do

The Registered Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs. Duties include the following:

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
