MedQuest Imaging, a Novant Health partner, seeks a Registered Technical Assistant for our mobile MRI team in Winston-Salem, NC. You will prepare patients, assist the technologist, and perform IV starts while traveling between imaging sites to support MRI operations.

This hands-on role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and flexibility with 10- and 12-hour shifts. Mileage reimbursement and travel support are provided for this essential mobile service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification required or CMA/RMA/ARRT certification as listed.
• Experience in patient care or imaging support helpful.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist patients with electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from the patient.
• Escort patient to changing room and exam area.
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table and equipment.
• Start and remove IVs.
• Coordinate between Technologist and Radiologist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Registered Technical Assistant

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands-on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

What You’ll Do

The Registered Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs. Duties include the following:

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
