Job summary

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our Mobile MRI Team. You will help provide patient care, support MRI operations across multiple facilities, and travel with the mobile team to bring imaging services to communities.

The role emphasizes assisting Technologists, venipuncture and IV starts, and collaboration with Radiologists in a dynamic, mobile healthcare environment. Travel and 10- to 12-hour shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification, CMA (AAMA/NHA), or RMA (AMT/ARMA), or ARRT registration required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist patient with electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from patient.
• Escort patient to changing room and ensure appropriate attire.
• Escort patients to/from mobile MRI or exam room.
• Assist Technologist with MRI table preparation (coil, linen).
• Start and remove IVs.
• Maintain linen inventory.
• Research availability and obtain reports/images requested by Radiologist.
• Serve as liaison between Technologist and Radiologist.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

What You'll Do

The Registered Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical duties related to the efficiency of the workflow at the imaging center. Serves as an assistant to the Technologist for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their exam, complete the exam in an effective manner and start/remove IVs. Duties include the following:

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Maintain linen inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 0 - 2 years of experience
