MedQuest Imaging is hiring a Registered Technical Assistant for our Mobile MRI Team. You will support patient care, venipuncture, starting IVs, and assist technologists across multiple healthcare facilities during travel.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexible 10- to 12-hour shifts, mileage reimbursement, and travel support where applicable. Prior clinical experience in phlebotomy/certifications is required, with ARRT or equivalent registrations preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy or related medical assistant certifications are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• ARRT registration in R/MR/CT/M is required or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT) or (M).

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist patient with electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history.
• Escort patient to changing room and exam area.
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room.
• Assist technologist with MRI prep (coil, linens).
• Start and remove IVs.
• Maintain linen inventory.
• Research availability and obtain reports/images requested by Radiologist.
• Serve as liaison between technologist and Radiologist.

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands‑on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.
As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Maintain linen inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Prior Experience

• Minimum of 0 – 2 years of experience
