Job summary

MedQuest Imaging seeks a Technical Assistant to join its Mobile MRI Team in the Gastonia area, supporting MRI operations at multiple sites and helping patients through the imaging process.

You will screen patients, assist with paperwork, obtain medical history, and prep exam areas. The role offers varied locations, 10- to 12-hour shifts, and close collaboration with Radiologists and Technologists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience as a technical assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day.
• Assist the patient in completing paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from the patient.
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed for the exam.
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room.
• Screen the patient for the exam (MRI/CT).
• Assist technologist in preparing the exam table and supplies.
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist.
• Maintain linen inventory and assist with imaging inventory.
• Liaise between Technologist and Radiologist; perform other duties as assigned.

This role will support mobile MRI operations in the Gastonia market, serving multiple healthcare facilities throughout the region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day
• Assist the patient in completing paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
• Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
• Maintain linen inventory
• Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Must have CPR certification
• Prior Experience: Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience
• Experience as a technical assistant, preferred
