Job summary

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our Mobile MRI Team. This hands-on role blends patient care with travel, supporting MRI operations at multiple facilities across the region. Ideal candidates will have patient-care experience, including venipuncture and IV starts, with relevant certifications and CPR.

Hybrid/mobile shifts and travel support are available where applicable. The position emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and direct interaction with Radiologists

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy and patient-care certifications are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• ARRT or related radiology certifications may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist patient with completing electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from patient.
• Escort patient to changing room and ensure proper attire for exam.
• Escort patients to/from mobile MRI or exam room.
• Assist technologist with MRI setup (coil selection, linen, etc.).
• Start and remove IVs.
• Maintain linen inventory.
• Research availability and obtain reports/images requested by Radiologist.
• Serve as liaison between technologist and Radiologist.

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands-on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Assist the technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Start and remove IVs
• Maintain linen inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Prior Experience:

• Minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience
