Job summary

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our Mobile MRI Team. You will support patient care, perform venipuncture and IVs, and travel to multiple healthcare facilities, assisting MRI/CT exams and coordinating with Radiologists.

The role requires a patient-care background, phlebotomy or related certification, CPR, and a willingness to work in a dynamic, mobile healthcare environment with 10- or 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification, CMA/RMA, ARRT(R) or ARRT registration in (R),(MR),(CT) or (M) required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day.
• Assist patient with paperwork and discuss history.
• Obtain medical history from the patient.
• Escort patient to changing room and exam area.
• Escort patients to and from mobile MRI or exam room.
• Screen patient for MRI/CT exams and prep coordination.
• Assist technologist with exam setup (coil selection, linen, etc.).
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist; manage linen inventory.
• Assist with quarterly imaging inventory and report requests.
• Serve as liaison between Technologist and Radiologist.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day
• Assist the patient in completing paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
• Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
• Maintain linen inventory
• Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or NHA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT or ARMA), or ARRT registration in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Prior Experience:

• 0-2 years of related healthcare experience preferred
• Experience performing venipuncture and/or starting IVs required
• Experience working directly with patients in a clinical setting preferred
