Job summary

MedQuest Imaging is expanding its Mobile MRI Team and seeks a Registered Technical Assistant to deliver high-quality imaging services across the region in a travel-friendly role.

You will screen patients, assist with paperwork, obtain medical history, venipuncture, start IVs, and help prepare the exam table while coordinating closely with Radiologists and Technologists in a dynamic, multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA/RMA/ARRT registration required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day.
• Assist patient with paperwork and collect medical history.
• Escort patients to changing rooms and exam areas.
• Prepare exam room and equipment; assist with MRI/CT setup.
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist; assist with inventory.

Are you a Registered Technical Assistant looking for a hands-on role that combines patient care, teamwork, and travel? MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join our growing Mobile MRI Team.

As a member of our mobile team, you'll help bring high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with patient care experience, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam day
• Assist the patient in completing paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
• Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
• Maintain linen inventory
• Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or NHA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT or ARMA), or ARRT registration in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M) required
• CPR certification required

Prior Experience:

• 0-2 years of related healthcare experience preferred
• Experience performing venipuncture and/or starting IVs required
• Experience working directly with patients in a clinical setting preferred
