Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment such as CR, DR and PACS systems following guidelines.
• Train students and staff as assigned and participate in patient plan-of-care discussions.
• Assess data reflecting patient status and coordinate with healthcare team.

The registered sonographer performs a variety of technical imaging procedures and provides quality care to patients.* Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.* Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).* Trains students and staff as assigned.* Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.* Assesses data reflective of the patient status.
