The registered sonographer performs a variety of technical imaging procedures and provides quality care to patients.* Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.* Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).* Trains students and staff as assigned.* Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.* Assesses data reflective of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.* Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.# **What We Require:****Education:** High school graduate or equivalent.
