Cape Fear Valley Health System seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform all respiratory care modalities for patients per department guidelines at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

This role requires RRT certification, NC licensure, and BCLS. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway support, and emergency response with documentation in patient charts and departmental records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Care Program required.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) required.
• Licensed by the NCRCB required.
• BCLS certified by the American Heart Association required.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administer continuous oxygen and continuous bland aerosol therapy per department guidelines.
• Perform intermittent therapy and diagnostic procedures per department guidelines.
• Access Medication Security Area to implement Respiratory Care per policies.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation and complete documentation.
• Provide airway management, ventilation, and closure of chest compressions during resuscitation as needed.
• Perform intubations after receiving approval.
• Assess patient condition and respond to respiratory care needs; ensure protocols are followed.
• Initiate and maintain monitoring equipment within the Respiratory Care Department.
• Act as charge therapists in the absence of a supervisor.
• Charges for all services provided inclusive of use of BCX system.
