Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex clinical settings, primarily in critical care areas. The role includes ventilator management, airway procedures, ABG analysis, and patient/family education.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program with an associate or bachelor’s degree, NBRC-RRT/RCP and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP or equivalent

Qualifications

• Licenses required: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP or equivalent.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments and therapy execution.
• Manage ventilators and airway procedures; perform ABG analysis and administer aerosolized meds.
• Educate patients and families, mentor staff and students, participate in quality improvement.
• Ensure safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to policies and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program with associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Licenses and certifications including NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, customer service, and computer skills.
